“ Arvet is the Danish word for “inherited” and refers to the core essence of the thesis. It is to design a chair with the intention of increasing the likelyhood of it being past down generations, for the sake of establishing a meaningful relation to the ordinary. In this project the ordinary is the chair, an everyday object that accompanies us at different moments throughout the day. It begins with traditional materials and craftsmanship that leads to beautiful imperfections, to then evolve alongside it’s user(s). ”
